End Of Year Thoughts

My first thought is that this will be the last time I write 2018 in my blog! 🙂

The start of a new year always excites me, and not because of new resolutions, but rather because it is an opportunity to start anew and create a new story if you will.  The year becomes a tabla rasa (blank slate) and you can write it anyway you choose and in whichever way you choose.

When I look back on 2018, I have enjoyed a year of growth in so many ways.  Of course there are always ups and downs in any year, but upon reflecting back and seeing different changes I have experienced, it is a year to build on in 2019.

FORWARD PROGRESS

I believe in forward progress and always pushing the envelope – when we stay still and make no changes in our lives we become stuck literally.  We all know people who are perfectly content keeping the bar low and making no changes, but is this really living? CHALLENGE YOURSELF! Step outside of your box! Is there something that you have been considering doing/ thinking about/ wanting to try?? Maybe 2019 is the year to try it!

The only way to truly gain knowledge is to challenge ourselves and take risks.  Remember a time when you were completely petrified to do something you were about to do and did it anyways?? How did you feel after?? Like you moved a mountain? I bet you felt exhilarated!  2019 is your year – GO FOR IT!

I don’t make new year resolutions but I do make intentions.

For me, I intend to push the envelope and keep trying new things (whether thats exploring a new yoga class or an adventure…).  I will continue to surround myself with all of the wonderful people I have in my life (you know who you are), and I will always try to take that extra little challenge when it is presented.

What about you? See what things you would like to build on, change, or try in 2019 and as always write your list in pencil 🙂

See you in 2019!

Namaste
